The numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser while you use it. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to submit the form asking for your breakdown — and if you do, that submission includes both your email address and the figures you entered. Analytics and advertising partners collect standard technical information, described below.
All calculations run locally in your browser using JavaScript. Loan balances, interest rates, payment amounts, and every other figure you enter are processed on your device. While you are simply using a calculator, no server receives them and they are discarded when you close the page.
There is one exception, and it only happens if you choose it. Each calculator has a form offering a printable breakdown in exchange for your email address. If you submit that form, the figures you entered are sent along with your email address and stored with it. The form says so at the point of submission. If you do not submit it, nothing leaves your browser.
Like most websites, this site's hosting and analytics providers record standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time of visit. This is used to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site working.
This site uses cookies. Some are necessary for the site to function. Others are set by advertising partners.

If you submit the breakdown form, we store your email address together with the calculator you used and the figures you entered. We use this to understand which tools people find useful and to contact you about the site — new calculators, corrections, and related guidance.
We do not sell email addresses or the figures stored with them. Every message we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Write to hello@paydownmath.com from the address in question and we will delete the record, including the stored figures. No explanation needed. If you would like a copy of what is held first, ask and we will send it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we do not store calculator inputs and hold little beyond email addresses, most requests are straightforward. Write to hello@paydownmath.com.
California residents have specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
